Council Begins Deliberations on Budget Cuts and Revenue Options

In a decision issued today, a federal judge ordered that the City of East Lansing must allow Country Mills to return as a vendor at the East Lansing Farmer's Market while the court decides a lawsuit involving questions of religious freedom and discrimination against same-gender couples.

Results of a new Freedom of Information Act request show that the City of East Lansing withheld key data on the Center City District proposal for over three months. Mayor Mark Meadows tells ELi, "There is no hidden staff agenda or suppression of information involved here.”
