Food is good. Shopping local is good. Music is (arguably) even better. Add all three ingredients, and you’ve got the recipe for Taste & Shop (and Groove!) night hosted by the East Lansing Downtown Management Board on Friday, August 10, as part of the East Lansing Summer Concert Series. Celtic band, The Founding, will be performing a free live show to attendees.
For $20, guests will receive a wristband, which allows them “tastes” of menu items from nine different restaurants, and special discounts at participating businesses before, during and following the music. Kids ten years and under can eat for free.
According to the City's website, participating businesses include: Beggar’s Banquet, Buffalo Wild Wings, Campus Burger, Harper’s Restaurant & Brewpub, Jersey Mike’s, Lou & Harry’s, Menna’s Joint, Noodles & Company, Pita Pit, Splash of Color Tattoo & Piercing, Sundance Jewelers, Rally House East Lansing, East Lansing Threads and the Student Book Store.
You can purchase your wristbands from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in Ann Street Plaza (corner of Albert and M.A.C. Avenues). Food, while supplies last, will be served until 9 p.m. The Founding’s live music set runs from 7-9 p.m. in Ann Street Plaza.
