ELi Donors Offer Match for New Supporters

As we move closer to our January 31 deadline, a core group of ELi donors have stepped up to help push our 2018 Sustainability Campaign by coming together to offer to match, dollar for dollar, contributions from people who have never before donated to ELi! While we've had a number of new donors in the campaign, we are hoping to welcome many more within this matching campaign!

This special matching campaign offers opportunities to both NEW and EXISTING donors to ELi! Here’s how:

Considering becoming a new donor to ELi? If you do it now, we can double your contribution! We have a $4,200 commitment in matching funds right now. You can help us get these matching funds by:

• sending a check payable to ELi to PO Box 115, East Lansing, MI 48826-0115. If you’re going to do this, drop a note to fundraise@eastlansinginfo.org so we can note it in our running goal total.
• making a one-time credit card contribution by clicking here.
• signing up to make an automatic monthly contribution ($5, $10, $30, whatever works for you) with a credit card by clicking here. If you choose this option, the match will be equal to your one-year commitment; so, if you pledge $10 a month, we’ll get a $120 match.
• signing up to make a monthly contribution by check. If you want to do this, drop a note to fundraise@eastlansinginfo.org so we can note it in our running goal total.

Are you an existing donor to ELi? You can help by joining the donors who have committed to the matching campaign! Write to fundraise@eastlansinginfo.org and tell us how much of a commitment you want to make to the matching campaign. We know from experience that matching funds make a BIG difference in bringing in new donors!

Having a predictable income for 2018 will allow us to focus on what matters: doing the work of reporting for you what matters, whether that be about City Council, city debt, School Board, big development downtown, public works projects, the festivals, new laws, political campaigns, community dialogues, or service projects in our city.
