Each month, the Ingham Great Start Collaborative gathers up a list of free family fun activities in and around Ingham County. Here we reproduce some of that list:

September 3, 10 & 17 Summer Long Summer Fest, Lansing
Westside Famers market on 743 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. between West Saginaw and Oakland Avenue.  Activities for kids- love music, farmers market and health and community resource information. Every Monday from 4-7 pm.

September 6-9, 2012 Frontier Days Charlotte
Pioneer-spirited guests will enjoy this annual event featuring one of Mid-Michigan's largest parades, a championship rodeo, flea market, more than 250 arts and crafts exhibits, an old-fashioned saloon and more! (517) 543-3325 www.charlottefrontierdays.com

September 8 and 9:

East Lansing Public Library Fall Storytime in the Storytime Room: stories, rhymes and a craft.  Ages 2-5. Caregivers of 2-year-olds must stay in the storytime room. All other caregivers must stay in the library.

September 11,18, 25,  6:30-7:15pm

September 12,17,19,24,26, 10:30-11am
East Lansing Public Library Fall Babytime in the Storytime Room: a beginning storytime for babies. Each baby must be accompanied by an adult. No siblings, please. For babies under age 2.

September 8, noon–2:00pm, Urbandale Farm's Tomato Festival

September 21-22, 2012, Old Town BluesFest, Old Town Lansing

September 29, 2012, National Free Museum Entrance Day
Hundreds of museums across the country are offering free admission. There is a limit of one ticket per household. Each ticket is valid for two free museum passes. The link to all the Michigan sites is here. The two Lansing sites are the Michigan Women's Historical Center & Hall of Fame and the R.E. Olds Transportation Museum.
