The Lansing Jaycees will host a ‘Holiday One Stop Shopping’ event this Saturday, November 15 at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center. The event will run from 11am to 5pm and is free for shoppers. Local vendors will be set up to sell their products to East Lansing and area residents. “This is a great way for shoppers to knock out their holiday shopping list,” said Sheryl Soczek, Lansing Jaycees treasurer and chair of the Holiday One Stop Shop. “I’m really excited about the wide variety of vendors that are signed up and I look forward to seeing the unique gifts they have for sale.”

Vendors signed up to participate include: Chloe + Isabel, Stampin’ Up, Origami Owl, Thirty-One Gifts, Jamberry Nails, Young Living Essential Oils, Lia Sophia, Tupperware, Matilda Jane Clothing, Quilting Maven, Avon, Scentsy Fragrance, Stella & Dot, Norwex, Between the Buns & More/Incu-Bake, Usborne Books & More, It Works! Global, Events & Moore, Mary Kay, PartyLite, Longaberger, Socks Etc, LLC, Premier Designs, Discovery Toys, Pampered Chef and Shaklee. Vendors can sign up to reserve booth space for a fee.

Through the rental fees paid by the vendors, the Lansing Jaycees are raising funds to support their mission of "Leadership Training through Community Involvement.” Community involvement events that the Jaycees normally host include the Easter egg hunt on the Capital lawn, and the ‘Stuff The Bus’ clothing and toy drive to benefit local needy families and children during the holidays. This year’s Stuff The Bus will take place at Wal Mart in Eastwood Towne Center on December 6 from 11am to 8pm.

While it has been a few years since the Jaycees hosted this Holiday One Stop Shop event, they are happy about the location. Lauren Leeds, Management Director and Secretary of the Jaycees says, “We have used the Hannah Center before for our events. It’s a great facility with lots of space.”
