Just Love Revo LLC, a new East Lansing business located on Michigan Avenue, opened its doors on May 1. According to Morgan Underwood, owner, Just Love is a place of meditation, yoga, stretch, art, massage therapy, dance, animal rescue, worship, creativity, healing, individuality, peace, joy, happiness, and love.
“I always wanted to create a place where people could come to find peace, love, acceptance and strength but I wasn’t sure of the angle I would take on it. I found the Just Love space on craigslist while I was in Costa Rica this past winter and it just kind of went from there. I say everything happens for a reason and this just kind of worked out,” Underwood said.
“We just completed our first month and it surpassed our expectations. Our goal was to build a place of restoration, people’s sacred place, and we have done just that.”
Underwood said Just Love offers many classes and workshops. Upcoming workshops include “Harness the Power of The Full Moon” on Monday June 20 from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. which will include, stretch, meditation and yoga, and the “Mind Body Soul Retreat” from Friday June 17 to Sunday June 19.
“For anyone who might be interested in trying even one class, we have a new student special where you receive one week of unlimited classes for a one-time fee of $15. This is a one-time deal, but you can try as many classes each day as you want for a week. It’s a good deal because our regular drop in price is $10,” Underwood said.
Underwood teaches meditation, stretch, and yoga. She has instructed stretch, conditioning, and more at Capital Cheer Legends for over ten years. She is USASF (U.S. All Star Federation) certified levels 1-5. Morgan began practicing yoga in 2012 and received her yoga instructor certification in 2016. She began practicing meditation in 2012 and has been studying and teaching since 2015. Morgan also became an ordained minister in fall 2015 and hopes to later add worship services and Bible studies to Just Love’s schedule.
Marissa McFarland instructs Just Love’s stretch and conditioning classes. She has been instructing stretch, conditioning, stunts, tumbling, dance, and more at Capital Cheer Legends for over ten years. McFarland graduated from Holt High School and attends Michigan State University majoring in pre-med and nursing. Autumn West instructs most of Just Love’s yoga classes. West began practicing yoga in 2010 and received her yoga instructor certification in 2016. West graduated from Haslett High School.
Rebeka Hosford, Just Love’s massage therapist, started her training in Reflexology in 1998. She continued her education in 2001 at Lansing Community College where she studied until 2009. Hosford has studied under Reiki masters, polarity therapists, and reflexologists all over Michigan. Hosford specializes in Swedish, Relaxation, and Deep Tissue Massage.
Underwood said Just Love is “more than just a yoga studio.” “Just Love is a place of restoration. We want to see each person reach their best possible self on three levels; mind, body, and soul. We have something for everyone, even if you think this is not really for you. If you are not sure of what might benefit you the most, do not be shy. We are more than happy to help you figure out what is best for you. Our classes are very personal so you will never get lost in the shuffle here. Your happiness is our goal.”
