The game is a-foot! And the game is simple: Put a shamrock in your East Lansing window, or go out on a walk and see how many you can see from the sidewalk.
People in East Lansing are already feeling cabin fever from orders to stay at least six feet away from each other, and it’s all made worse by the sense of losing any chance to gather for St. Patrick’s Day. And caregivers of little kids are looking for something to do.
So, the idea has arisen to create a Shamrock Hunt. Just find or make a shamrock and put it in your window facing the street.
As one supporter put it, “It’s easy. No human contact. Get fresh air. Just put a shamrock in your window.”
It’s a great way to show we’re all in this together.
Disclosure: March 17, St. Patrick’s Day, is my birthday! Guess what I want besides a shamrock hunt? Go on – guess!
