It’s been a lot of week in East Lansing since the MSU carillon bells rang on Sunday in honor of the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I.

We’ve had controversy over the possible consolidation of our court, controversy of the elementary schools redistricting, word from two Council Members about being left out of negotiations on a $100 million public-private deal, and this morning, a man shot and seriously hurt.

What does it take for ELi to do this kind of reporting? Our Publisher paused and combed her hair this morning to record a video to explain. We’d appreciate if you’d take five minutes to watch it.

Thank you.
