Your ELi: Donate Now!

UPDATE: $1,740 raised as of the morning of March 14!

Today we launch our spring fundraising campaign in the hopes of raising $8,000 for ELi by the end of March. The image you see above will be updated as we make progress towards our goal.

If we can do this, ELi will be funded through the end of June. That would allow us to provide you great coverage of East Lansing news through the May election involving two proposed charter amendments, through the end of the MSU and ELPS school years, and into the start of the 2015 summer festival season.

Last week we explained why ELi needs money. This week we’re encouraging you to step up and donate! Big donations, small donations, we appreciate and can use them all!

There are two easy ways to donate:

1. Use PayPal by clicking here.
2. Write a check payable to “East Lansing Info” and mail it to PO Box 115, East Lansing, MI 48826.

Your donation will be tax deductible for 2015 and all donations go back into the local economy.

We’ll keep you updated on how the fundraising is going. We hope this effort will confirm for us what we believe to be true—that there is now a recognized need for ELi’s service to the people of East Lansing.

If we find out there is not enough local commitment to ELi to raise $8,000 this month, for funding ELi through the end of June, we will be surprised but will always feel this experiment of reporting service was worth it!
