Progress towards our fundraising goals, as explained below
Just a quick note to update you on our fundraising progress. As our Managing Editor Ann Nichols explained last week, we are trying to raise $8,000 this month to keep ELi going through the end of September and to provide funding for expanded public schools reporting and to support of our growing ranks of student reporters who go out to do great East Lansing-specific reporting for you while you go about your busy life!
The pie charts above give you a visual image of our progress. The blue chart shows fundraising for ELPS reporting, and the green shows fundraising for our student reporters. In each case, we’re trying to raise $4,000, which includes a built-in overhead.
So far we’ve raised $1,150 for ELPS reporting and $975 for our student reporters.
So we still have a long way to go if we’re going to reach our goals! Donate right now online using a credit card (click here) or send a check payable to East Lansing Info to PO Box 115, East Lansing, MI 48826. All donations are tax deductible because ELi is a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization.
