Spaghetti lovers, this is your week! The 4th graders at Marble Elementary School are hard at work making posters, learning to be hosts, food and beverage servers and all around great hospitality models in anticipation of their biggest fundraiser of the year. This Thursday they will serve up their annual Spaghetti Dinner to our community. The meal includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, breadsticks, drinks and dessert. The seatings are staggered to allow for as many diners as possible, and the drive-through take-out allows for serving even more people.

Their motivation? All proceeds from this event will support the annual 4th grade class trip to Mackinac Island in June. The trip is traditionally both fun and educational, following a year of learning about Michigan and its history. Students visit Fort Michilimackinac on the tip of the peninsula, and Fort Mackinac on the island plus Historic Mill Creek and both sites offer a hands-on way to connect with history.

The show does not go on without participation of the parents of both 4th grade classes. Teachers David Price and Renee VanRemmen depend on parent teams to solicit food donations, organize dining room and take-out service, guide the students in their roles, set-up, decorate, and clean-up.

If you go:
Seating Times for the Dinner are 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm
Drive-Through take out is available at 5:30 pm, 6:15 pm and 7:00 pm
Cost:  Adult $8.00,  Children (10 and under) $5.00,  Family of 4 $25.00,  Family of 5 or more $30.00
Marble Elementary School is located at 729 North Hagadorn, in East Lansing.
