St. Thomas Aquinas will host this year's annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service on Monday November 21, with featured speaker Reverend Andrew Pomerville of The Peoples Church.

In response to shootings by police officers in Louisiana and Minneapolis this week, a Community Rally will take place this evening at Union Missionary Baptist Church. Melvin Jones, the Church’s Pastor, posted yesterday on Facebook “Our community cannot stand idly by and not give voice to police violence on black men. You are invited to come to a community rally at Union Missionary Baptist Church tomorrow night at 6 p.m.”

“May You Never Hunger, May You Never Thirst” is the motto of Pagans In Need, an organization located in the Metro Detroit area, dedicated to serving the many diverse needs of its’ clientele. PIN recently opened a food bank in Lansing, which is filled and maintained by supporters of the organization, and is stocked with food and clothing for those who might need a little extra help.

With just five days of planning, Peoples Church hosted an LGBTQ prom which attracted around 50 high school students from all over our area. ELi's Casandra Eriksen brings us the story.

This Friday, March 11, two bands—Stella! and The Springtails—will be performing a benefit concert at The Peoples Church to support Re-Member, a non-profit group dedicated to supporting the Oglala Lakota nation living on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.
